ich bin in Berlin

Well, I've got quite a bit to cover don't I..

2nd - 4th June
OSLO, Norway;

The weather was really nice, 25 degrees, sunny, quite not what we expected for Norway. We stayed in a place where the dorm room was just a big hall with matresses on the floor.

..And there were lots of scouts..

..and Dave was defending the harbour against pirates..

5th - 6th June
Geilo, Norway;

Geilo (pronounced Yay-low) is on the famous Olso - bergen railway, away from everything and up in the hills somewhere.

As there was not much to do I rented a bike and rode around the country side..

7th - 9th June
Flam, Norway.

Flam, (pronounced flom), is just amazing..

10th - 11th june
Bergen, Norway..

Then we arrived in Bergen.

There's a bank in norway called "DnB NOR" (see the building in the background?) We reckon it's the Drum and Bass headquarters.

On the 11th of June Dave checked his email and found that he'd been issued 3 tickets for the Aus - Japan match the next day.. Which was very very very annoying as we had about 27 hours to try to get to Kaiserslatern in Germany.
There was no way to get there by train and the cheapest plane tickets we could find were close to $1000 each. So we couldn't go :(

The most annoying part was that there was no way to cancel the tickets, and they'd been automatically paid for. So there would have been 3 more empty seats in the stadium that we could do nothing about. The ticketing organisation is so stupid to be able to allocate tickets with such short notice..

Oh well.

12th June, Olso.
Then we caught a night train back to Olso...

And some people slept in a park...

Before getting another night train, and eventually arriving at Luke's place in Berlin.
Woo!!

Now I have to go buy a tent.

So you need to buy a tent to stay at lukes place...? does he live in a park? say hi to luke for me!
i am pretty cranky today, i know i absolutely failed a test today, it was for english, and i havent read any of the texts, however last night i tried to watch -and fell asleep during- Macbeth, so this morning i read the study guide in the car. Hopefully my assessment mark is high enough to pass the unit.

Hi Glenn,
Fantastic photos!!
What a shame you couldn't get to the match. I suppose you watched it in a pub somewhere.
What's Luke doing in Berlin? He's been there a while hasn't he?
Dad said to behave yourself in Munich. I guess you'll watch the game on a big screen.
Have fun, love mum XXOO
