...Chicken.. ..POX??...
Guess what.I got chicken pox.
Hurrah!
Dont know how i got it. . probably from someone in the hotel.
But for the last 5 days ive been locked up in a hotel room by myself so i dont give it to anyone.
Not much fun i can tell you, but at least i didnt have to work. And its been a 5 day detox! wow! I feel so much better!
French TV is really boring when you dont know french. - They have a game show like this english show "countdown" (those who have been to england will know what im talking about) where about 9 letters r picked and the 2 contestants have to make the biggest word they can in about 30 seconds.. well, i can play that game but they make all their words in french so i cant really compare.
apart from that ive spent the last 5 days standing on the balcony yelling at people.
last night i got a msg from Mark (chris's mate who is living in london) saying that hes gonna be in alp dhuez on monday and he needs accomodation. Time to work some magic. He might be able to saty in my hotel cause theres only 15 guests this week! (we can take up to about 70)
Another 2 staff (i think) are leaving 2moro. Taking the number up to 6.
I just dont understand people who would choose to come on a working holiday and then leave halfway through. Thats just not cricket, is it Matt. or Sara (or another cricket fan)
Anyway, enough rambling.

Hi Glenn,
Sorry, but dad & I laughed, after all the times you were exposed to chicken pox as a kid and never got it. Hope you're feeling okay and not scratching too much. Couldn't someone get you a good book from the library or maybe a basic learn French book? Are you going to send us a spotty photo? If you were here you could have watched cricket-not only do we have tests and one day matches, but 20-20s and beach cricket televised (Sara probably loves it).
Lots of love,
Mum XXOO (It's very hot today, a swim might be nice later this afternoon)
Salut Glenn!
You poor thing! Though funny thing is that the kids I'm looking after are showing early signs of chicken pox too (as other kids at school had it last week) and I never had it as a child either! Hmmm...
Re: French TV, even if you understand french TV it's really shit so don't worry you're not missing out on anything.
It's supposed to get colder from today - Sunday so hopefully you can get some more boarding in before you leave. Have fun!

I havent watched beach cricket on tv yet, although yesterday i went to the aust vs nz odi. It was probably the most boring match i've ever seen, yet one of the funniest days ever at the cricket. I missed quite abit of NZ batting... even though i was row a in bay 13. i had a few beers before hand and as soon as i sat in the sun i kind of zoned out... it was 39 degrees and i was in direct sunlight till it turned into nighttime. I also managed not to get sunburnt! Oh, and I have a photo of Vettori signing a blow up sheep, it was funny :) The banned mexican wave was back in force, it must have gone around 20-30 times over the day. Lots and lots of people got kicked out. One guy afew rows behind me got booted by the fun police for throwing a couple of cups forward to add to our beer snake. The guys making the snake didnt get booted, they were instead ordered to carry their snake to the back of the bay and put all the cups in the bin, which was better than just holding up a beer snake cause they had to carry it through the ground so everyone could see :) It was a good day at the cricket.
Well said.
